Overview
Memory Grove is one of Salt Lake City’s favorite parks and a photographer’s dream. City Creek runs through the long narrow park, set into a canyon below the State Capitol. It’s a lush hideout just minutes from downtown Salt Lake. There are beautiful flowers everywhere, a charming stone bridge, walking trails, and a large weeping willow graces the edge of the water. Set amid all this beauty, you’ll find Memorial House. It’s a historic building with an iconic red door and shutters, surrounded by a low stone wall. There’s a lovely patio and a private garden area that’s perfect for a ceremony or cocktail hour.
Memorial House has been a gathering place for weddings and events since the 1920’s. Inside there is a spacious Main Hall with historic wood floors, chandeliers, fireplace, and vaulted ceilings. There’s ample natural light streaming through the large windows and bouncing around the clean white space. With so much nature just steps away, Memorial House might be the perfect spot for your garden wedding. You’ll have access to all of Memory Grove park for your ceremony, as well as a beautiful private indoor space when you’re ready to bring the party inside.
